MYT@Ballina is run by Yew Tree Theatre as part of the Mayo Youth Theatre.

Mayo Youth Theatre (13-21 year olds)

Led and directed by Yew Tree Theatre, MYT@Ballina is now in its third year.

Over that period MYT@Ballina has developed a steady core of 30 members.

This year we have a new intake of 12.

The MYT@Ballina programme is based on regular weekly workshops to develop drama/theatre skills, educational trips to other youth theatre groups, to exchange ideas and skills, and trips to the theatre to access and experience a wide range of plays, and productions.

In November 2001 MYT@Ballina will have its first production of scene studies. This will be followed in May 2002 by its first full length production.
